Work and the Good Life (Fall 2025)

Most college graduates aspire to work with a purpose but only around half of them find it. This course, developed by faculty team from business ethics, chemistry, English, entrepreneurship, political science, and social work, invites students to explore their values, ambitions, and concerns about working life while charting their course toward discovering work that matters to them and their communities.

Fantasy Football and the Good Life (Honors, Fall 2024)

This is a course about work and the good life, masquerading as a course about fantasy football. It explores whether there is room in the good life for frivolous pursuits like fantasy football and whether a successful competitor can be a good person.

Leading with Meaning (Spring 2024)

College is often a time for students to both learn skills to earn a livelihood and ask big questions about one’s purposeful vocation in life. This seminar explores alignment and conflict between these two important goals.
